Group A: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM - 7:40 PM ET

Group B: Thursdays, 7:50 PM - 9:30 PM ET

Group C: Tuesdays, 6:00 PM - 7:40 PM ET

Classwork concentrates on “survival spoken Japanese” for everyday situations. The basic writing system will also be introduced. This 12-week course is for those who speak little or no Japanese and covers lessons 1-9 of Japanese for Busy People, Book 1.

  • Introduction to Hiragana Writing

  • Japanese number systems and counting

  • Basic greetings

  • Basic self-introductions

  • Basic schedule

  • Talk about going, coming, and shopping

  • Basic existence of objects and people in locations
